People and Culture Manager - Germany

About the role:
Thunderful Games is seeking a German based People and Culture Manager (Germany) to join its growing European People and Culture team supporting Headup and Studio Fizbin. Headup and Studio Fizbin are part of Thunderful Games.
The People and Culture Manager (Germany) will report to the Director of People and Culture (based in the UK currently) and work alongside the senior teams in both entities to advise on existing people business structures, devising and implementing a fit-for-purpose people strategy that supports business objectives and aligns with the Thunderful vision. In addition the People and Culture Manager (Germany) will support the CEO’s of Headup and Studio Fizbin in the resolution of any employee relations matters, and deliver/support on a range of operational activities within the business.
As the People and Culture Manager (Germany), you will develop and improve people-related policies and ways to embed and demonstrate company values. You will support and coach managers on people-related issues and processes, develop reward and benefit structures, and manage HR metrics and KPIs.

This position is a part time position working 2 or 3 days per week.
Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting international People & Culture colleagues in divisional wide people related projects as required
• Leading and implementing the well-being agenda and information for colleagues within area
• Implementing, supporting and developing the use of HRIS system/s
• Supporting the Thunderful DEI Committee, working with the Divisional P & C Operations Manager to provide specific HR-related guidance/expertise, and leading on subsidiary specific DEI initiatives
• Developing and maintaining Employee Handbooks and ensuring other employee documentation is legally compliant and up-to-date
• Supporting long-term sickness and absence and any frequent short-term absences
• Supporting the Health and Safety of employees
• Support the CSR (corporate social responsibility) agenda
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a people-centric approach to HR and a servant leader approach, aligned with Thunderful/subsidiary values, the ability to integrate into a friendly, kind, and inclusive team, a can-do and informal approach, and a positive attitude.

As you will be part of an international HR team you will need to have full professional proficiency in English.
Further requirements:
• HR degree or equivalent (such as Masters) or equivalent knowledge gained in experience
• Current German employment legislation and HR trend knowledge, as well as a good understanding of future developments
• Solid HR operational experience in a range of settings, ideally within the creative industries
• Managing a wide HR remit with a widespread management team and workforce
• Ability to manage own diary and time to deliver on a range of projects/issues simultaneously
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of the games or creative industries would be a distinct advantage
• Regular visits to the studios and occasional overseas travel will be required
