About us
Our Northernmost office is located in Skövde. With one of Sweden's most prominent video game universities as our neighbor, we have the ideal soil for cultivating refreshing game ideas. Almost 3% of the Skövde population are involved in the games industry somehow (which must be some kind of record!). The (huge) Skövde office hosts around 15 people working mainly on the newest announced game within the SteamWorld franchise - HeadHunter!

Location
Thunderful Skövde lies nestled within the beating heart of a bustling science park. Our south-facing balcony allows for spectacular views of the stunning Schlätta vistas, and the office offer a walking distance to an amazingly beautiful nature. Skövde is the perfect combination of small town meets big town, where you have everything you might need and close to it all. The town slogan is actually “The center of events / Sweden's new meeting place”.

It’s kind of hard to describe the joy and creative empowerment that I’ve felt since joining Thunderful a little of a year ago. The incredibly talented and beautiful people that I get to work and hang out with each day, the project as a whole and the variety of tasks that I get to tackle, all come together and create a workplace unlike any other. I’m humbled in the ways that my time spent at TF in Skövde has helped me grow as both a person and a game dev, as well as the many laughs and memories that I’ve gotten so far.

What I love most about working here in Skövde is not only the fact that I have the privilege to work with amazing team members, but also that I get to engage with the vibrant local game developer community of which we are part of. I get to learn not only from my coworkers, but also all the local developers who all come from different backgrounds and companies. There is no place like this when it comes to living the game developer life, a small town, but a big part of the Swedish game industry.
